What is ESCYPAA?
The Empire State Convention of Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous (ESCYPAA) exists to further the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous by planning & hosting an annual Convention for young people in AA.
The Convention provides an opportunity for AA members, regardless of age, to come together & share their experience, strength & hope as members of Alcoholics Anonymous. Our hope is that Convention attendees return to their home groups better prepared to welcome young people into their local AA community.
Don’t worry – “young” simply means room to grow!

What is Advisory?
The Advisory Council is the custodian of the convention & of ESCYPAA as a whole; it is both legal guardian & spiritual servant of ESCYPAA. Following each Convention, the host committee elects from within their own committee several members to serve on Advisory.
All Advisory members are available to offer their experience, strength, & hope to all YPAA committees in New York State interested in or actively bidding to host ESCYPAA!
