STCYPAA
ESCYPAA XI started as STCYPAA, the Southern Tier Committee of Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous. As with other YPAA committees, STCYPAA hosted events in its region, providing levity and fellowship to the local sober community.
Transition to ESCYPAA XI
In addition to being an service committee, STCYPAA is also a bid committee – every year we put forth a bid to host ESCYPAA, the Empire State Convention of Young People in AA. And in November of 2024 we were awarded host committee!
What it meant for us as a committee was placing STCYPAA activities on hold and transforming into ESCYPAA XI, the host committee for this year’s statewide convention. We are excited to be given this amazing service opportunity, coordinating an event that has meant so much to each of us individually.
